The role

This role will focus on the Nordic market and is a critical role to drive growth and achieve Company continuous success. 

The Commercial Director will be responsible for developing and overseeing the Company overall Marketing and Commercial strategy as well as its strategic presence in line with the organisational business goals and vision. 

He/she will play a key role in exploring new marketing opportunities and channels, developing our brands visibility and partnering with local businesses in view of shaping our local strategy, guiding execution and identifying new growth opportunities such as digital opportunities while keeping compliance at the core.

The role will work closely together with the management team, as part of the management team you are a prominent ambassador of the Company to lead and inspire employees to be the best version of themselves and continuously work towards a culture which is positive, collaborative and inclusive and elevate the company to an even greater place at which to work.

The Responsibilities

Local Strategy & Growth

  • Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities, competitor activities, and players behavior trends.
  • Lead local business development initiatives, partnerships, sponsorships and strategic alliances.
  • Identify and develop new marketing channels and strategies.
  • Own the P&L for the Nordics market, ensuring revenue growth and cost efficiency.

Commercial Performance & Reporting Ownership

  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial and retention strategies across all company brands, establishing the foundation for sustainable growth and long-term player engagement.
  • Design and build data-driven processes in collaboration with Marketing and Product teams to optimise player lifetime value (LTV) and average revenue per user (ARPU), ensuring profitability and operational scalability.
  • Establish and maintain robust reporting frameworks to analyse and track key performance metrics, delivering actionable insights that drive the country’s P&L performance.
  • Oversee and continuously refine bonus and promotional policies, balancing player retention goals with commercial returns and margin protection.
  • Own the development, tracking, and reporting of KPIs across all retention and loyalty initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Marketing plans

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies and campaign planning, including media management and budgeting, and conducting performance analysis. 
  • Oversee “corporate” marketing campaigns tailored to local audiences.
  • Manage media and other networks, ensuring optimal ROI and brand alignment.
  • Lead localisation efforts of all marketing materials, offers, and campaigns to ensure cultural relevance and compliance.
  • Together with HR build and maintain a strong employer through PR, events, and social initiatives (local partnership in relation to CSR etc).
  • Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities (sports clubs, esports, other events).

Business Development & local partnerships

  • Support the launch of new products or features within the market such as a new product vertical, casino game, new module or promotional tool.
  • Develop strategic relationship with local key stakeholders such as payment providers, media agencies and other partnerships.

Leadership & Cross collaboration

  • Collaborate with all Company departments to ensure alignment with overall strategy at all times.
  • Involve current talent in different initiatives, as part of their expertise, passion or development ambitions to keep them engaged and remain innovative.
  • Act as a coach and a mentor.
  • Lead and develop the Marketing department in close collaboration to the Marketing leaders ensuring succession planning and development opportunities for all.
  • Where needed and in accordance with the budget allocated, build a local network of freelancers/agencies across marketing, content, design, local research etc.
  • Represent the company in local media, industry events, and other forums.
  • Act as a Company ambassador.

Compliance

  • Ensure we are compliant with local regulations at all times.
  • Build relationships with local regulatory bodies.
  • Champion responsible gaming practices and company ethics as part of our USP.

Must Have:

  • At least 3 years in a similar position. 
  • Deep knowledge of the Nordic Market as an operator. 
  • Market Expertise & Regulatory Knowledge. 
  • Marketing Strategy Development & Execution. 
  • Strong local network.
  • Curious and passionate about the market and marketing in general.
  • Proven track record of development and management of commercial budgets, setting financial targets, and monitoring commercial performance against KPIs.
  • Strong ability to analyse data, interpret market trends, and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Finnish and Nordic Markets Expertise & Regulatory Knowledge
