We are looking for a Player Safety Manager who treats responsible gambling as a competitive advantage and not a checkbox exercise, and who can elevate a team that makes players safe.

The role

You are the person who makes sure our players enjoy their play and feel safe. You own player safety end to end across all of our brands including but not limited to policy, monitoring, investigations, and the systems that catch risk before it becomes harm. 

You are able to turn AI and player data into an early-warning system and process that makes the team work easier.

You lead the player safety team as part of our Player Experience department and you are the go to person when a case needs a decisive, well-documented decision or information. 

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who mentors naturally and who treats regulated markets as the baseline for how we look after our players.

The responsibilities

Player Safety Strategy & Policy

• Own Blixx's player safety strategy and policy framework across Blixx brands and departments, aligned to each market's regulatory requirements.

• Oversee Player Safety Operations, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times

•  Maintain up-to-date internal procedures aligned with RG (Responsible Gambling) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations.

• Set the risk indicators, thresholds and escalation paths the team monitors day to day, and keep the team informed and trained as player behaviour and regulation evolve.

• Set and own player safety KPIs (intervention volume, time-to-action, self-exclusion..) and report progress to management where necessary.

• Balance a player-first approach with the pace a small, fast-moving operator needs.

Case Management & Intervention

• Lead day-to-day monitoring, case review and escalation, working closely with the Player Safety Analysts and Player Experience team.

• Investigate high-risk player cases and apply risk mitigation strategies using data analysis and behavioural indicators.

• Ensure every intervention is documented to a standard that is compliant and fits for any regulatory requests or audit purposes.

AI & Data-Driven Player Safety

• Use AI and data to catch risk patterns in a proactive manner and to improve effectiveness

• Work closely with Product and Tech to get player safety processes built.

Team Leadership

• Inspire, mentor and develop a team of Player Safety analysts and other Blixx members.

• Train and educate all Blixx employees around player safety matters.

• Bring structure and processes where it makes sense:

• Be the player safety voice internally and externally.

Compliance & Regulatory 

• Work very closely with the MLRO on regulatory reporting and licence conditions and requirements.

• Stay ahead of regulatory shifts across current and incoming markets and translate them into practical changes to policy, training and documentation.

Blixx Ambassadorship

• Build a team culture where flagging an issue is part of the norm, where people feel safe.

• Actively promote best practices for compliance and player safety internally.. 

• Lead and live by Blixx core values at all times. 

What we need from you

• 3+ years of experience in Responsible Gambling and/or AML, preferably within the iGaming sector preferably into Nordic markets

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team

• A proactive and analytical mindset with the ability to balance player protection and business needs.

• Experience handling sensitive data and escalated cases with discretion and regulatory awareness.

• Comfortable owning regulatory processes and documentation

• Experience of using data and AI-assisted tools in relation to Player Safety

• Genuine curiosity about our players and markets, experience across the Nordics is a strong plus.

• Responsible Gambling accreditation or equivalent certification is a genuine plus, not a requirement.
