The role

At Blixx Gaming Ltd, we’re on the hunt for a forward-thinking Junior Accountant who can drive financial excellence and strategic growth in our innovative gaming environment. This role is a great opportunity for someone at the early stages of their accounting career who wants to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Reporting to the CFO, the Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly closings, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.

The responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger
  • Reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Maintain and update financial records in accounting software
  • Liaise with internal departments and external vendors as needed
  • Support audits and compliance checks by preparing required documentation
  • Help improve and automate existing finance processes where possible

Skills, Competences, knowledge and qualifications

  • Currently studying towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience in accounting or finance would be considered an advantage
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g. Business Central, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
